Photographic services
It is the responsibility of the Photographic Services to document the collections of the Germanisches Nationalmuseum, to store the photographs of objects and to make them available for research.
In addition, the Photographic Services document the condition of objects which undergo changes during restoration, special exhibitions and important events in the history of the museum.
For external scholars and collectors, the Photographic Services make digital images of objects in the museum. Existing ektachromes may be lent after consultation.
